Things to do on sembreak (Philippines)

1. Go to art exhibit in Robinsons Manila to support my co fine art students who will exhibit  their works there.

2. Go to "ENEMY" art show at SM Megamall for another exhibit. One of our professor's work is also there.

3. Go to Ayala Museum to revisit the 43rd Shell National Arts Competition finalist and winning entries.

4. Go to Fort Bonifacio for "The Myth of The Human Body" wherein many human bodies were preserved and exhibited to show how it works and how it changes its form in different motion.

5. Go to National Museum for a friend of mine invited me to go there.

Anyone wants to go? :D

Hope that all these "things to do list" will be mark as check before next semester :D

Hi! I'm a 2nd yr college student in the phils too, and we were required to join the annual national shell art competition. I saw your awesome entry and congratulations for being a finalist (you already earned P2k with that right? hahaha)

I just want to know how it goes? How will we know if we become a finalist and all. Thank you!

Hi! I was a finalist last 2010 when I was in 3rd yr. I did join the acrylic and digital category. It was a fun competition, There were too many young student artist who joined during that time in the traditional open theme category and in calendar digital division too! One thing that I did notice back then is that they're actually looking for something that is quite different from ordinary and by that I mean something that is unique in terms of the message of your piece, but of course you need to deliver it with such creativity on your work(though i'm quite skeptical about it in the digital category). What they really look for is the positivity that your peace can evoke, that's what I think.

A few months after the competition. You'll receive a call from SHELL(the exciting one!), and they'll tell you that you won in which division you've joined. You'll be asked to come to the awarding ceremony at the Ayala Museum (if it's still the venue which I think it is this year I presume) at a given time. I hope I did inform you well and goodluck to your entry, I also look forward to meet you in this years awarding ceremony if chances and luck are kind enough :)

with my entry somehow. Hahaha. Thank you for your help, I'm looking more forward
to it now. We just submitted our entries last week. :)
